AutoPAC (The Automobile Dealers Political
Action Committee) is the mechanism by which dealers participate in state
legislative races and, when appropriate, races involving state-wide
offices as well. While individual dealer participation in these
political races is always important, AutoPAC is the
only mechanism by which all the dealers speak with one
voice. As such, it is critically important to the success of the TADA
legislative program.
AutoPAC consists of non-corporate
contributions from individual dealers. The staff in Austin conducts an
annual fund-raising drive beginning in August. Obviously, we rely
heavily on those who contribute at the Chairman's Club level (i.e.
$1000-$2500) but everything helps.
