Strength
TADA's strength is in its members. To be fully effective in the
legislative and legal processes, all Texas dealers must stand together
and speak with one voice through their Association. Because we are an
Association that supports all Texas dealers, the
dealers of Texas must share equally in the responsibility. Full
participation will further fortify the Association and advance issues
that benefit Texas dealers.
Legal Department
Franchised dealers are the most highly regulated retailers in
compliance information and counseling through its legal department
headed by TADA Chief Counsel and Executive Vice President Karen
Phillips. The TADA legal department works closely with state
and federal agencies on issues of regulation and compliance to ensure a
fair and consistent system of regulations.
Legislative Department
TADA's Legislative Affairs Department, led by Chief Operating Officer
Tom Blanton, keeps TADA members well apprised of the always dynamic and
sometimes unpredictable Texas Legislature.
His in-depth knowledge and unique perspective are priceless
resources, not only for the dealers of Texas, but also the state's
governing body. TADA represents the dealer body before the Texas
Legislature, the U.S. Congress, and both state and federal regulatory
agencies.
